When we feel darkness all around, when things go worse, and nothing seems to work for us, there is one thing that keep us going; HOPE.
Hope is not just a consoling word. It has a lot of power. Hope can save our sanity, because it is very easy to get negative in difficult times.
We all go through seasons in our lives. As strong and confident as we can feel one day, we can feel just as scared and lost the next. But we can learn a lot about ourselves, during those tough seasons.
Sometimes, in trying to stay hopeful, you may get knocked back down, making the situation to seem worse. But you have to believe things will work out well in the end. Stay strong, have positive thoughts, and step out on faith. Don’t let the fear of uncertainty cloud your mind.
Hope can make the present moment become less difficult to bear. It gives you a reason to keep getting up every morning. It brings peace. Staying optimistic and joyful in life, goes a long way in preserving our emotional and spiritual well-being.
It is so easy to lose hope in the long run, but always remember, as this night falls, a new day will begin, and you never know what amazing things it could bring your way.
Someone once said:
“I am prepared for the worst, but hope for the best.”
Hope is essential, to getting through our bad times, and one of the best ways to fight the feeling of hopelessness, is to work on other things, that needs to be done, so as not to focus too much on the problem. As long as you are breathing, you still have a chance.
When going through a tough time, always remember the previous tough times you have experienced, and how you overcame them. So, why should this one be any different? Think back for a moment, and ask yourself this question; how did I battle those challenges in the past? Was it through the support of your family, or reading of books/online content? What helped you through? You can employ the same method(s).
Regarding the fact that your book has been rejected several times, or you are struggling financially, let the fire of hope burn within you.
Don’t let hard times control your life, because whether we like it or not, there will always be difficult times in our lives. But just like there are bad times, there will come good times as well. Don’t lose the hope for a better day, because there will always be one. So, keep your hopes alive.
Sweet reminder! I think we all need a little hope in this time

It’s very hard to keep hope alive when you’re feeling down on yourself. It’s so good to make it a point every day to find one truly good thing that happened! It could be that someone bought you a coffee (like my hubby did for me this morning before work); or it could be that your cat/dog cuddled with you for an hour to make you feel better. Just find that silver lining. Great post – thanks for sharing!

And, behind dark clouds, the sun’s still shining. Always. Is that the impetus of the silver lining shining through?

Hope can be hard to hold onto at times, but it’s worth it. Not to say that we should fear if we let our grip loosen for a moment, but as long as we come back to it, it can be a lifeline to keep us pulling toward the light.

True words. We may lose our grip, but as long as we come back to it, it can keep us going.
