An unwanted existence

Life is like a road trip without a map.

Sometimes, you may think:

What’s the point in living, when you feel unloved, unwanted, and you think you’re a burden to yourself, and those around you?

The truth is, you’re probably allowing circumstances to manipulate your feelings.

One of the worst things you can do to yourself, when you don’t feel so good, is to focus too much on the problem, or any other bad stuff.

I think a lot of people focus too much on the “nots” in their life:

  1. Not good enough
  2. Not healthy
  3. Not appreciated
  4. Not meaningful
  5. Not this. Not that
You may feel like your life isn’t meant to be like this, because you’re going through a difficult phase in your life right now. But honestly, you need to start loving every moment of your life again.
Believe me, you haven’t fail at life, and people do care about you. Stop thinking your life has no purpose or meaning.

Someone once said:

I can’t see a reason why I should stay alive. I don’t have to keep going. I owe it to nobody.

But how true are those words?

How about doing what makes you happy, what makes you come alive? No matter what happens, it is up to you to enjoy life. No amount of self-help content can help you, if you do not make up your mind to be happy.

If you have a disability, or suffering from a terrible illness, and you feel you’re dependent in a lot of ways, trust me, you can still contribute something to others in some way. Contribute to the best of your ability, and learn to appreciate yourself for what you have contribute.

We tend to moan about things in our life, when stuff doesn’t go the way we want them to. This can be painful though, but life is meant to be ever changing, ever growing, and it can be tough to let go of how things used to be.

It is time to have a little bit of faith in the unknown, and start believing that life will unfold on its own, whether you like it or not. Nonetheless, smile, laugh, cry, but live consciously from now on, rather than merely existing, and you will see how wonderful life can be.

  2. Thank you for this post.
For me the practice of being grateful is the turning point when I become too self absorbed. I practice remembering and being with the fact that having this experience of life is a miracle. Being here to have the experience is a one time event as far as I can tell. I want to live life aware of that dynamic.
    Be well,
