In today’s busy world of working/business, our minds are rarely at rest, and our bodies are paying the price. Meditation can help a lot in this aspect, as it helps you to know your mind, and master your mind, and is one easy way to combat the effects of daily stress and anxiety.
Meditation can be used as a calming tool, for overwhelming workers, as it will help improve their focus, attention, clarity, and keeps them happy. It is beneficial for both the body and mind.
It also helps you concentrate and pay attention to the present, and is useful in forgetting about the past, and not worry about the future. It teaches you how to respond, rather than react to situations in your life.
When meditating, you have to block out the world around you, and quiet your thoughts. This is beneficial, in the sense that it makes you become more awake and purposeful, with regard to your actions.
The practice of meditation helps to optimize how the brain uses resources. It also lower your blood pressure, and increase circulation, which is good for your health.
When the mind wanders, it tends to concentrate on negative issues, thus creating stress. But through meditation, that function is less active.
When you constantly replay your daily problems and fears in your mind, it can affect your mental and physical health. Meditation helps to create a feeling of peacefulness and stability.
Tips on how to meditate
- Find a quiet place with no or less distractions.
- Sit in a chair or on the floor.
- Be aware of your breathing. Focus on the sensation of air moving in and out of your body, as you breathe.
- Be mindful of the thoughts you receive during this process.
- You can meditate regularly for about 20 to 30 minutes. After the time has elapsed, sit for about 2 to 3 minutes. Be aware of where you are. Get up slowly.
Gonna definitely try out meditation and see if it really works. Great post!

I do feel better after a few days of meditation. My mind is a lot calmer. The only side effect is I fall asleep every time I try to meditate :). Guess I am just very sleep deprived or way too relaxed.

This might be as a result of the calmness you feel.
It is understandable.
Most people do feel sleepy during meditation.😃

Really?
Don’t you think that’s dangerous. You can get lost in your thoughts.
It is advisable to sit down during meditation.

No, I made a special technique, and I was using it only a few times in the wild nature, preferably in the mountains. Walking slowly with my eyes wide open…

The simple act of FOCUS on breathing is so underrated. By turning within, we heighten the senses to become focused, which in turn creates real internal and external value. Thank you for sharing this great post.
